Allergy Chef Hero

Children with food allergies are a vulnerable group within our population and could be at risk due to their peers' lack of knowledge surrounding allergies. As such, our team created a game for children to learn more about allergies.

Sign-language Exercise Book

With technology, there are many other ways to interact with computers rather than the traditional mouse and keyboard. There are many ways to make interactions more expressive. To explore creative user interactions with new technology, we have designed and implemented a web application that teaches sign-language through machine learning.

Redesigning the PA State Parks Website

The Pennsylvania State Parks website is a site that provides information about hiking trails, camping, and state parks in the state of Pennsylvania. To practice Human-centered Design, we redesigned a prototype of a mobile version of this website for parents with young children.

Binvolved

Despite Bucknell University’s tradition of fostering a diverse community, Chinese international students are still a minority group on campus who face challenges and barriers as they explore and participate on campus. Thus, I designed the prototype of Binvolved, a mobile application that supports Chinese international students to get involved on campus.

A Tale of the Dragon Palace

The theme of this HCI project is “Design for Another World”, in which we aimed to utilize the power of virtual reality to construct the feeling of visiting an impossible place. To meet this goal, we created an immersive 3-D scene: an underwater dragon palace inspired by the Palace of the Dragon King from the famous literature Journey to the West.

Redesigning the 2019 University of Toronto MI Alumni Survey Report

While researching for graduate programs, the career outcomes of alumni are one of the most important elements for the applicants to look at. With data and charts, applicants can evaluate how these outcomes and career paths align with their personal career goals and what they would like to achieve after graduate studies. For this project, I redesigned the Master of Information section of the 2019 MI and MMSt Alumni Survey Report on the University of Toronto website with the goal of making it more appealing and memorable to prospective students.
